WEDDING: NEERA + MARK ~ August 12-14th, 2010
NEERA + MARK are just a wonderful couple and so easy to work with. Their friends and family were simply awesome and fun too. Just as well really, as their wedding was shot over three days – and I loved every minute of it.
The week for Neera and Mark really started a year ago! The actual ceremonies and rituals started Friday the 8th, a week before their Hindu wedding with a Ganesh prayer and I came in on Thursday documenting Neera’s bridal shower and Henna party.
Both days, the Hindu wedding on Friday and the Western ceremony on Saturday were fantastic and thankfully for everyone, inside what with this crazy August heat. I’m still getting used to the humidity here- so different when I was back in England a couple of weeks ago.
I love all my couples and weddings, and every now and again, a day like this will come up where I have to kick myself that I actually get to do something that I love AND I get paid for it. Very fortunate.
Below are a few of my favorites over the three days. For those who care to know, a Nikon D3, a D700, Nikon 35mm f2, a Nikon 85mm f1.4 and a 14-24 f2.8 lenses were used.
Just received these lovely words from Neera, the bride:
“Philip, the photos look amazing! I can’t wait to see the rest. Thank you so much for everything. I had so much fun working with you – you helped keep me calm and made everything so much fun! Words cannot express how wonderful you are!!!!” ~ Neera, bride.
