THE LITTLE CHURCH OF LA VILLITA WEDDING + RIO PLAZA RECEPTION

LA VILLITA WEDDING – Kristin and Xavier’s wedding at The Little Church of La Villita followed by their reception at Rio Plaza.

This was the my last wedding of 2015 and what an amazing way to finish of the year. It’s so great to be back at La Villita, my first return for a few years. I love this time of the year with the low light, shorter days, holiday decorations are hanging from the trees and the weather is cooler! Not only is it a challenge to shoot but it’s great to to push my Leica cameras to their limits.

Xavier and Kristin make such a lovely couple, I found them to be the perfect fit for each other. They ooze warmth and look great together. Spectacular decor and detail by Stacey DeWine, owner of Panache Event Group. Thanks to my young friend, Corey Mendez from Austin, super creative second shooter.

We start with the rehearsal at Lüke downtown, followed by getting ready at Westin Riverwalk and then onto La Villita.

My goal is to always make the viewer feel like they were there: A window into a day of a wedding. The decor and details are important, but the ‘life’ of a wedding is what I feel I must capture front and center.
