River Oaks Garden Club Forum – Nadia and Evan – Houston wedding
Nadia and Evan tied the knot at a beautiful historical venue, River Oaks Garden Club Forum off Westheimer in Houston. Their day was a simple, heartfelt wedding for families and close friends.
They have such a sweet story. Nadia and Evan have been best friends since they were 14 and just tied the knot ten years later. Evan moved away when he was 15, and they had mainly a long distance relationship for many years with him states elsewhere for high school. Nadia in the meantime moved away for college, then Evan moved to South America for work. They finally got back together in Houston where she is a school teacher, and he is a sound technician.
My favorite type of weddings to shoot is small and intimate. It allows me to get closer to my subjects, tell their wedding day story and focus on geometry and emotion, from the tight circle of friends and family to the couple, all the while remaining sympathetic and unobtrusive in how I tell the story.
I enjoyed photographing their special day. I always recommend to shoot an engagement session, like Nadia and Evan’s prior so I can get to know the couple better, so when it comes to their wedding day, they can relax and just be themselves as I go about photographing them.
These are my favorites from the day. We starts with a rehearsal dinner party in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. Leave your comments and love for the couple below.
