Picture of the week: Ouch!

This shot really sums up why I love shooting weddings. No two weddings are alike and my style compared to many wedding photographers, is just to capture the day as unobtrusively as possible.

There are many reasons why I like this shot captured with Leica M9, at f1.4 on a 35mm Summilux two weeks ago.  There is good separation from the background giving that lovely bokeh effect. And the expression on both the grand-mothers face and the girls reaction to the right.  There’s also no doubt it was shot at a wedding and captured at the precise moment when everything just came together. Along with some some luck.
